This week’s painting was loosely inspired by my own cat, my fur buddy and art studio mate, Charlie.

Charlie is by far the friendliest cat I’ve ever had.

Everyday, when I get home from work, he greets me at the door. I set my bag down and immediately pick him up, giving him lots of kisses as I stroll around the house with him in my arms asking him about his day and talking a lot of gibberish.

I know he understands me and answers in his own way, often rewarding me by rubbing his head against my chin. Our whispered words and snuggles may not have a literal translation but they all add up to a whole lotta love and appreciation.
