I Survived Art in the Park!

My friend Gator and his “Mom” Holly came to visit me at Art in the Park! (Photo courtesy of Holly Scribner)

I officially survived my first two-day art fair at Art in the Park in North Conway! The weather was perfect, the art was inspiring, and the mountains felt like they were cheering us on. I worried I’d be hobbling like a penguin afterward (and okay, maybe I was), but totally worth it for all the good vibes.

There were so many pinch-me moments as people stopped mid-stroll to point and say things like, “Oh, look at that fox!” or “Come see the bear!” Watching folks gather, linger, and connect over my art still gives me goosebumps. Six years ago, this was just a far off dream in my heart—now it’s a full-blown adventure, paint-splatters and all.

The icing on the weekend? A cheerful surprise visit from Holly Scribner—and Gator, who greeted me with the kind of joyful, full‑body hello that only a happy dog can pull off.

And to everyone who wandered in, shared your stories, or adopted a new art print or note card—thank you Every smile and story reminded me why I paint in the first place—to connect, uplift, and celebrate the beauty in all of it.

Art in the Park Art Print Raffle Winners: Michelle Fish won “Twilight Blooms” and Heather Corrigan won “Breathe in Beauty.” Congrats!
