“Winterberry Friends” is inspired by one of my favorite winter traditions: foraging for winterberries, birch bark, pine cones, and fallen pine or fir branches with my dear friend Jan or my son George. These outings are more than just a walk in the woods—they’re moments of connection, laughter, and creativity. The treasures we gather become the foundation for homemade outdoor planters and indoor arrangements that feel extra special because they’re born from these shared experiences.
